RACHELS LESSON:
TIE SHOW AND REHEARSAL
This was the day we showed our TIEs to year 12 to get some feedback from a different audience then the other members of our class, and just to see what they thought of our pieces. We recorded them also just in case we didn't get a chance to go to a school. But, Rachel gave us some news, that we were going to go to Durrington High School next Tuesday to perform our workshops and our TIEs. This was some good news that we needed!
Rachel at the beginning of the lesson told us to get into a freeze frame that represents our TIE. Our group got in to the section where Finn is pretending to be a baby and Maisie and myself are the giant Benandonner. We thought this best represented our story because it was the main section all of our stories were based around.
Once we done that the first group straight away set up whilst we were off stage waiting patiently to come and perform our piece. We were last and so anxiously waiting we quietly spoke about who would do the music and about the ending because we didn't have time to finish the end because everyone had to come and do a bow.
The performance went well, but because the audience were people we knew I thought it was more nerve wrecking because if we messed up they might laugh or take the mickey, but everyone was really supportive and gave us really good feedback for example, 'I understood how yours fitted together, and also if you messed up you couldn't notice because yours was the type of piece to look good if you did mess up.' I thought those comments were good and it gave us the intensive to do well on Tuesday.
